Film Festival Liaise

Cameron Davidson
Liaise And Audience
Unit 2

The the Production of the film Cordyceps there was no client who approached me to make the film, I myself wanted to produce this film and be able to submit it into a short film festival in the UK.

So when I want to submit my film into a particular film festival this one been Encounters film festival I found in my research that I would have to meet certain regulations for my film to be eligible.

So for my film to become eligible to submit into Encounters I found in my research that it has to be under 30 minutes they put this in bold writing to emphasize the importance of this regulation as films over this time limit cannot be submitted. The film-festival version will be written to a disc as well as electronically submitted on the Encounters website. In my research I found out there will by a fee to pay. With the film also been uploaded to You Tube I can use the internet to share it on blogs, Vimeo as well as the many other social media networks to distribute an electronic version of the film.  Stated in my proposal I aimed to have my film length at  5-10 minutes in length and want to aim it at a target demographic of young student film-makers aged between 16-25 as well fans of the popular zombie genre which is ranged from 16-40. The Socio-economic status I will be targeting is
From the scale from 2 down to 6

2 - Lower managerial and professional occupations
3  - Intermediate occupations (clerical, sales, service)
4  - Small employers and own account workers
5 - Lower supervisory and technical occupations
6 - Semi routine occupations

I tried contacting the Encounters film festival to discuss my film and its specifications over the phone.
